Scratch Team Update

The season so far…

The Wishaw scratch team started the season with an excellent 6.5 – 1.5 home win against Calderfields GC.

Our second match was away at Gaudet Luce GC in Droitwich, where we had won last season. Unfortunately their team was a lot stronger this year, and we were beaten 6.0 – 2.0.

Gaudet Luce then made the return trip to Wishaw, and we got our revenge for the away defeat with a winning score of 5.5 – 2.5.

On Sunday 26^th July, the team travelled to Perton Park in Wolverhampton. We were in a winning position with 2 wins on the board, when a storm blew in and flooded the greens. The match had to be abandoned, and will re re-played in September.

Sun 27^th September – Perton Park (A) – 2pm

Bewdley Pines (H) – To be re-arranged due to bad weather

Shirley GC have withdrawn from Division 8 as they have been unable to fulfil their fixtures.
