Ian Atkinson achieved a hole in one on the 12th hole whilst playing in the Midweek Medal today. Drinks are on Ian!!!!!

Josh Hughes won the Directors’ Rosebowl with a 5 and 3 victory over Ian Nicholls in the Final last week. The rosebowl is a tough major to win with competitors having to qualify from a medal event to proceed to the knockout matchplay rounds. Congratulations to Josh for a great win, and also to Ian Nicholls who then went on to win The Littlewood Cup days later.

The Open takes place on Saturday 10th September. This is a great opportunity to invite friends who are members of other golf clubs to come and play wishaw in competition on a fun day. Entry forms are available in the club house. Please don’t leave it too long to enter. The earlier you enter the better chance you have of getting your preferred tee time.

The Junior Team have now completed 4 fixtures, winning 3 with just one defeat away to Moor Hall. The Scratch Team go into the last game of the season away to Gaudet Luce with a real chance of promotion and perhaps even winning the division. The team have won there last 3 games and currently lie tied 2nd in the division. Good luck to the team for their final match this Sunday.

The Summer League came to a dramtatic end with Steve Gibbs & Andy Wosket taking the title by just 1 point from Ray Hayes & Joe Lawlor. It went down to the final event with Ray & Joe finishing fourth and Steve & Andy fifth in the scramble format. Congratulations to the winners and thank you to all those who took part in the revamped Summer League. I hope you are all looking forward to next years league.
